Blockchainization is Coming Back: Be Ready for September 17th!

The Spells of Genesis’ most popular feature is coming back, and even better than before!

Blockchainization, the process allowing you to transform your in-game cards into standalone, tradable blockchain assets has been updated. From September 17th when blockchainization will be re-enabled, you’ll have the ability to decide which blockchain you wish to withdraw your card on.

“First Oasis”

In comparison to the “old” blockchainization, the main difference is the usage of the “First Oasis”. First Oasis is the name given to the Klaytn-based custodian wallet solution, allowing to make a bridge between different blockchains, and between the game and your wallet. Klaytn is a public blockchain developed by Corean company Kakao.

When you blockchainize a card, it will first be transferred to First Oasis.

How does it work exactly?

Part 1 – Blockchainize a card

1. You initiate the blockchainization by clicking on the “Blockchainize” button.

2. A First Oasis address, attached to the wallet linked to your SoG account will be generated. The blockchainized card will be transferred here.

3. You will receive an email with detailed information and instructions.

You can keep the card on First Oasis. The card will remain visible in-game, unless you change the wallet(s) bound to your game account. Although, if you want to sell your card, or transfer it to another wallet, you’ll need to withdraw it first to your Ethereum or Counterparty address.

Part 2 – Withdraw the card to a blockchain of your choice

Withdraw the card to your Counterparty or Ethereum address. The address you can withdraw the card to has to be one of the addresses bound to your SoG account. We recommend you to use Casa Tookan Wallet or Metamask.

1. Go to Orb Explorer. You can access it directly from the browser inside your Casa Tookan Wallet, or on your desktop. You will receive a direct link to your adresse(s) balance by email.

2. Click on the First Oasis address (under the QR code in the top left corner)

3. If needed, unlock/connect your wallet (Metamask) by clicking on “My Account”

4. Click on the “withdraw” button under the Orb image

5. Choose where you want to withdraw your card (if you only have one address bound to your account, you can only withdraw here)

6. To confirm the withdrawal, sign the transaction.

7. The card will be sent to your wallet.

Once the card is transferred to your withdrawal address, you get the full possession of it and you can send it to another wallet or sell it.
